At “Camissa- CrossFit and Holistic Wellness” we believe that the sweet water of fitness and wellness should be accessible to all- and this is our mission.
We believe that fitness is not just about physical health, but also mental and emotional wellbeing. We take a holistic approach to fitness, focusing on nutrition, physical pre/rehabilitation, pain and injury management, stress management, and mindfulness, in addition to exercise, under the CrossFit methodology and sport.
Our team of experienced trainers has a diverse range of backgrounds and specialties, allowing us to provide an individualized fitness and wellness experience for each of our clients. We achieve this through CrossFit methodology, supported by physiotherapy, nutrition advising, group training, 1-on-1 training, Yoga and Therapeutic Massage services.
CrossFit is a sport with a specific movement methodology- focusing on high intensity functional movements.
The goal of CrossFit is for its members to be physically prepared for the demands of life. Its focus is in developing and optimizing 10 domains of fitness- Cardiovascular and Respiratory endurance, Stamina, Strength, Flexibility, Power, Speed, Coordination, Agility, Balance, and Accuracy.
Although CrossFit was initially designed for the everyday person to improve their physical wellness, it has also developed into a sport, for those who desire to test their discipline competitively.
Olympic Weightlifting is one of the movement methodologies utilized by CrossFit.
Becoming proficient in the Olympic lifts will directly improve your CrossFit performance and training experience.
Although Olympic weightlifting is only comprised of the Clean-and-Jerk and Snatch, these are highly technical movements that teach the body how to work together in optimal synchronicity. furthermore, it develops mobility, strength, explosive power and coordination.
Experience expert programming and guidance, with an individualized approach, focusing on your specific needs and goals. Book your sessions on days and times that suit the availability of your busy schedule.
Improve your understanding of why you are experiencing pain/ niggles/ difficulty with movements. Be assisted in reducing and eliminating pain and discomfort and learn how to manage them. Realize pain free movement and an improved quality of life.
